2 Peter

Introduction

This is the latest book in the whole Bible, probably written around the year 100, and it is presented as a second letter by Peter. Its three chapters deal with three concerns in the Church of that time:

¨C preserving the faith as it was taught by Jesus¡¯ eyewitnesses;

¨C fighting against ¡°teachers¡± who distort the faith at the same time as they lead to im morality;

¨C explaining why Christ had not yet returned.
